So, Sadie and Ella have been begging for sleepovers. Every night. I'm really not up for sleepovers right now, so I suggested a sibling sleepover.
Sadie: "Could we have a pillow fight?"
Me: "Sure."
Sadie: "Could we cut a slit in the pillow so that feathers go everywhere?"
Me: "No."
Ella: "Can we sleep on the foldout bed?"
Me: "Sure."
Sadie: "Can we stay up all night and watch TV."
Me: "Sure."
Ella: "Can we have otter pops?"
Me: "No."
Me: "So here is the deal, you can break all the rules involving bedtime. But you cannot leave the house, you cannot eat after you've brushed your teeth, and you cannot wake up Jack and Maisy."
They loved it and I went to bed. And shockingly they went to sleep shortly before I did.

Oh Oh Oh....GOOD IDEA!! We have a "family sleepover" in the family room planned for this weekend...maybe I could turn it into a "sibling sleepover" and get away with sleeping in my own bed instead of on the couch! THANKS!!
It's funny that breaking a few rules can be so exciting. I'm sure they'll always remember this sleep over :)
