Bubble Gum Necklace

To freshen up my spring wardrobe I have been making a lot of jewelry. While looking into some things for A Little Great, I read that two Spring jewelry trends are natural (wood, cork, leather) and bold. The AGTA says "In spring 2010 collections, the top Pantone colors are turquoise, violet, coral, bright navy, rising sun yellow, and tangytomato red." So I thought I would go for a little color.
There is something whimsical about these bright wooden beads to me, maybe it reminds me of the bubble gum my mom used to by from Santa Cruz. Anyway, I liked them. I threaded a ton of the beads randomly on a leather cord and knotted it, super easy.
I can wear it long or my favorite, doubled up.

Cute!! I bought a small beaded version with a little birdie on it so Avery could play with it while I held her in the hospital last time. It was for kids and I like your grown-up whimsy version! Go Som! When is your cruise? Jealous. You deserve it!
