First Days

I have been waiting to post first day of school photos until everyone had started school. Well, today it happened, Maisy was the last to start school.
Sadie started fourth grade.
Ella went into the third grade. I'm so glad that they are good friends.
They had a great day and made new friends.
Jack started preschool
He has been practicing writing his name since he got home.
Maisy started kindergarten this year. She has been really excited for this year of school. We went to her intake meeting and it was so refreshing to be in a room of people amazed at how wonderful she is and how far she has come. Her teacher, PT, OT, speech, the school nurse, and the assistant principal were all there and they were all so positive about her development.
So often people see her for her disability, but they all saw her potential and the possibilities. I spotted their notes from our meeting and saw ADORABLE written across the top of one.
I'm hoping for a good year for everyone. There isn't much worse than sending your kids off to the unknown and having them come home sad. "A mother is only has happy as her least happy child."

Here's to a good year all around.

The unknown is a very scary place for your kids to be.....even when they're grown! I understand the saying....far too well! It's hard to stay happy for the ones left who are happy! It's not entirely fair to them either. I hope for a good year (and years to come) for you! Life has a way of throwing wrenches at you that you never expect! Keep an eye out for flying wrenches! I pray you never see them! Your kids are beautiful!
