Yesterday, as I was getting ready for church Jack was sitting on the bathroom counter, playing with a cardboard nail file. As I went to pick up my flat iron I noticed it had shut off. That's about when Jack said, "Mom, I stuck dis in dere and pire shot out."
We had a little discussion about electricity and outlets and how you never, ever stick anything in an outlet. (Do you see now why we make him wear a helmet to go hiking?)

Oh man! So glad it was cardboard and not metal. Good thinking with the helmet. Should we require that of the men when they hike too?
