Masks and Madness

Every once in a while we attempt to take the kids out to dinner. Usually it involves other people we want to spend time with (this time Grandma Gayla and Grandpa Dave), a lot of books and distractions, plenty of bread (most of it on the floor), and parents who can eat fast while dodging busy hands, often from the child on their lap.

This time Grandma brought some beautiful masks to distract our hungry kids.

So we were able to get some pre-dinner modeling. Sadie felt glamorous, Ella was feeling sassy...

and Jack thought he looked scary.

I'm not sure what led to tears, but Jack got his feelings hurt.

And pouted until the pizza came.

Overall, a successful evening out. Thanks for the masks, Grandma.
