All Done

Christmas Eve, after the kids were asleep, was whirlwind of finishing presents. The Christmas jammies were finished that morning, but I still had so much to do. As much as I think I keeping up with things, I still seem to have so much to do in the end. But then Christmas morning, the kids lined up on the stairs, excitement evident, the lack of sleep dissipates, and we're off.
The stockings were discovered, presents opened, breakfast done, just enough time for a quick shower before I start dinner. Everyone arrives, presents exchanged, table set, a little Wii bowling. Then prime rib roast, baked potatoes, carrots, rolls and clean up. Kisses and hugs, saying goodbye and drive careful. Make cookies, clean up wrapping paper, pajamas (some never came off) on little bodies, teeth brushed, kids tucked in with treasures and I was asleep before they were.
I think the late nights of the last few weeks have caught up to me because I am so tired. The insomnia has worn off and after ten hours of sleep last night I feel like I could sleep another ten. So in spite of the need to get some things done for the Evan's brother's upcoming reception, I think I am going to bed. Well, at least once the kids are in bed, the house is clean, the laundry is folded...
Hope you had a Merry Christmas, we did.

You got the pjs done?! Wow! You haven't slept since I saw you last...not 'til now. I love S's blanket. Is that one of your felt/applique creations?

Sounds like a great day!
