Andy Panda

When Sadie was small, whenever I offered to help her, she would tell me, "No, Momma. I'm Andy Panda."

So now I have a house full of panda bears, these little people taking what we have given them and making it work their way.
Turning from kisses,
Putting jammies on by themselves (backwards and inside out, I might add.)
I'm not quite ready for this bout of independence. I have a tendency towards wanting more control of situations (and the way pajamas are put on.) But a little craziness hasn't ruined us yet.
And sometimes it makes for the best down-the-road, when-you-were-little stories.
Jack was playing guitar with Evan when he scratched his arm. He looked up at his dad and pointed to his scratch, "Boo boo, Daddy." "Oh, yeah. You okay Buddy?"

Again, holding it higher, "Boo boo, Daddy." "Yeah, your a tough guy, huh."

Jack leaned down and kissed his arm. He needed a kiss, he wanted a kiss. So he met his own need.
My Andy Pandas still need their mommy, but now they can figure out how to get past the need. And that's my struggle to overcome, because I still need them.
