Doing Better
It seems we have nothing but one sick kiddo after another. Maisy started to get sick on Monday, her breathing had us both quite worried. For the rest of the week it was a little better followed by a whole lot worse.
But judging by her mischievous behavior today, I think she is on the mend. Now once Evan gets over his congestion, it will have moved through the family and be on its way out.
I don't like having a sick household. I feel so bad about the red noses and sad eyes. I want to be out shopping for Christmas and baking in anticipation of Thanksgiving. When the weather turns cold I would rather smell chocolate chip cookies than not be able to smell anything. Right now I long to be preheating the oven instead of picking up tissues. The only good part is that they become little snugglers, and it seems I need a little snuggling right now.
So now, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Thanksgiving is on the way. The week will be full of good smells, tasty food, and lots of family. It makes me warmer just thinking about it. I get one whole day of cooking and baking, my sisters and mom, kids running under foot, hot chocolate, cheesecake, sweet potatoes...I can't wait.

Hi Somer!!!
I got your blog address from Evan on facebook, and I must say, it's so good to see your faces again!! Your girls have gotten SO big!! So good to get caught up on little pieces of your life again... when I knew you well Maisy was in my PICU, and your world was singularly focused there...
Keep in touch, and God's blessings on you and your family!
